General

Name: Daphne Orabelle Bletchley
Nicknames: Her older brothers called her Daffy or Dafty, but she’s never been fond of those particular nicknames. Her father called her his little fairy princess. Liam likes to call her Daphee, which sounds similar to what her brothers used to call her, but she tolerates if from the boy (and even finds it endearing).
Age: 25
Birthday: April 27, 1980
Place of Residence: Currently living in Bletchley Manor. Has a flat at 10 Artemis Way, which is currently mostly empty.

Appearance

Height: 5’ 9”
Weight: 120 lb
Eyes: Hazel
Hair Colour & Style: Hair is fine, blonde, and a bit wavy. She likes to keep it cut to her shoulder blades, and usually wears it styled so that it frames her face.
Skin tone: Fair, she’s been very careful not to develop freckles over the years.
Build: Daphne is tall for a female, and very willowy (which she prefers to skinny). Pregnancy actually did something good to her body, and she possesses more curves than before, although she is still quite thin.
Distinguishing Marks: A small strawberry colored birthmark on her right hip, that she sometimes covers with a glamour charm. A rather large bonding mark from her marriage to Miles over her left shoulderblade. Consists of a very stylized 'B' and 'G' entwined in ivy.
Dress Style: Daphne prefers robes of only the finest cut and material. She likes her robes to show off her waist and what small amount of cleavage she has (which she charms to look more plentiful when it suits her). She prefers softer pastel colors or jewel tones, as they suit her coloring better. Due to her recent living arrangements, she has a very nice wardrobe at the moment.
Things they would always carry with them: Her wand is the only thing that she carries with her at all times.
Other: Daphne refuses to leave the house without looking her best. She is always perfectly groomed and made-up before she will allow others to see her. She is a very pretty girl, but believes that the natural look is for the birds.

Health

Disabilities/Handicaps: None, she’s stayed well away from anything that could cause her that kind of harm, although her skill at this seems to be slipping.
Health in general – both mental and physical: Daphne is prone to sickness in the winter. Otherwise, she is physically healthy. Mentally she believes she is just fine. Having a child has actually helped her in this area, and she find herself caring for others on occasion, even if she doesn't like it. In fact, it's been getting her into trouble, but many find her more pleasant to be around.

Personality

First Impression: That she is a charming and well-bred young woman. Or that she is a complete and total bitch.
General Behaviour: Daphne is nice to those that she views as equals, but very haughty to those who she sees as being below her (which, in Daphne’s opinion, is nearly everyone). Unless she thinks she can get something from you, in which case she will be very attentive and charming.
Strengths: As far as Daphne’s concerned, her looks and her charm are her two biggest assets. She is intelligent, but she often plays this down. She has a knack for paying attention to those speaking to her, and figuring out how she can manipulate them later on.
Weaknesses: She is very self-centered, and she has an independent streak that has gotten her into trouble in the past.
Habits: She likes to play with whatever she’s wearing around her neck, especially when she’s around someone she is attracted to. Used to bite her nails as a child, but she stopped when she realized how unattractive it looked. Spends a bit too much time in front of her vanity mirror, and she takes a bath with milk and rose water at least once a week.
Enjoys: Fine furniture and clothing. Jewelry, expensive perfume, reading (though she’ll rarely admit to it), sex, and a good cup of black tea with rose petals, sweetened with honey and a splash of milk. A nice soak in a warm tub. Singing, and actually has a very nice singing voice.
Dislikes: People who don’t know their place in life, people who don’t know her place in life, and treat her accordingly. Dirt, ugly garish colors, furniture that looks like it came from a skip, “home cooking”
Other: Because of her upbringing, Daphne has a very high opinion of herself, and a taste for the finer things in life.

Family

Spouse/partner (if applicable): Hengist Woodcraft (deceased), Currently married to one Miles Bletchley, although they're working fixing that (despite her true feelings, which she hasn't quite realized herself yet).
Parents: Blagden and Aurelie Greengrass
Sibling(s): Benedict and Pierre, both were Death Eaters, both are deceased.
Children: Nigel Anthony Greengrass
Bloodline: As far as the world knows, Daphne is a pureblood.
Family History: While not as wealthy or as well known as some of the other pureblood families, the Greengrass line has a long and distinguished history. They enjoyed quite a bit more notoriety in earlier centuries, but due to the bad habits of one of her ancestors, the family fortune was nearly wiped out, and the Greengrass name was in disgrace. Thanks to careful work by future generations, they have managed to salvage much of their reputation, and while not as wealthy as they once where, they had quite enough money before the war to lead a very extravagant lifestyle.

Daphne’s father was the heir to the Greengrass estate, and was very homely in looks. Her mother was a witch from French ancestry. She was a very beautiful woman, whose own family did not boast a grand fortune. She was sent to find a husband in England, where her parents had hoped any potential suitors would not learn of her financial situation until she hand managed to marry. She’d hoped to land a Malfoy, or a Black, but had to settle for a Greengrass.

Daphne was the youngest, and the only girl, and was very much spoiled by her parents. Her mother wished her to marry better than she did, and groomed her daughter to be the perfect society wife. When the time came, a marriage was arranged for her. While not as good as the one’s her mother hoped to make (Malfoy, Nott) she was very happy with Daphne’s chosen betrothed. Daphne, however, was not. She had no desire to give up her freedom and marry a man who believed she should spend most of her time at home and give him more than one heir, and when her parent’s refused to budge on the matter, she ran away from home.

She went to London, where she convinced a well off businessman to take her with him on a trip to Italy. In exchange for having a beautiful young girl on his arm and in his bed, he would pay Daphne’s way while he was there.

He was pleased enough with her service to fund a suite in a nice hotel for a month, which gave her enough time to find work. She got a job singing in a posh nightclub, and often traded sexual favors for money, clothing, and jewelry. She eventually met a very wealthy married wizard, who took her on as his mistress. He set her up in a luxurious penthouse, bought her all the pretty things her heart desired, and gave her a nice allowance. To Daphne this was the perfect lifestyle. All the benefits of being a rich mans wife with out the commitment and constraint of marriage.

Then she found herself pregnant. Her first instinct was to get rid of the child, and had even purchased the necessary potion to do it. When the time came to take it, however, Daphne found herself unable to go through with it. She knew there was no way her lover would keep her with a child, and would very likely demand that she have an abortion. So she packed up her possessions, and quite a few of the hotels, and came back to England.

Pets: An owl which she hasn't bothered to name and a house elf named Zorbin.

Social/Romantic/Sexual

Close Friendships: Theo, Pansy, Millicent, Verity
Known Enemies: Romilda Vane
Sexual Preference: Bisexual. Daphne prefers men to women, because it is more socially accepted, and she feels she can get more out of men. She would not, however, turn a pretty woman away from her bed, and quite enjoys the company of the fairer sex.
Turn Ons: A nice fit figure, good grooming, soft skin, perfume and cologne (unless it’s cheap or cloying, then it’s definitely a turnoff), power (either those who have it, or those willing to give it to her), likes dark hair, but has been attracted to fairer men and women as well.
Turn Offs: People who don’t know how to properly wash themselves, those that are uncouth and crass, people with no money.
Past Relationships: Was briefly engaged, but not by choice. Had a very profitable affair with the wizard who funded her way to Italy, and an even more profitable affair with a married Italian wizard. Several lovers and one night flings in-between.
What they think about sex and love: Daphne sees sex as a means to get what you want, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy it. Currently, she does not believe in romantic love at all. She thinks that such a thing is weak and potentially damaging. However, the people around her are slowly changing her mind, and she's not entirely sure how she feels about that.

Magical

Wand Type: 12”, Willow, Phoenix Feather
Magical talents: Daphne is very adept at charms, especially glamour charms, or those involving the appearance. She is also fairly good with transfigurations, a skill she has practiced many times turning various mundane objects into something more pleasing to her.
Magical weaknesses/aversions: She is rubbish with defense spells, couldn't cast a decent hex to save herself, and is bascially rubbish at anything that might be handy while dueling. She thought she was rather good at least making more ordinary mundane potions, but her latest contraception potion disagrees. She believes that divination is complete rubbish, but thinks it would be a useful skill to have if it were real.
First sign of magic – when and what: For her fifth birthday her Grandmother Greengrass gave Daphne a pair bright yellow robes. Daphne absolutely detested them. When her father demanded she try them on so grandmother could see them, Daphne turned them pink to avoid wearing yucky yellow.
Boggart: Her 'family' broken and dying (let's hope she doesn't run into a boggart. THAT would be embarrassing.)
Knows how to Apparate (y/n): Yes
Knows how to cast a patronus (y/n – if yes what?): No
Knows how to use the unforgivables (y/n): Unfortunately for her, no she can’t, and don’t think she hasn’t attempted an imperius or two.

Schooling:

Year: Harry’s year.
House: Slytherin
Other Affiliations: none
Best subject(s): Charms and Transfiguration
Poor subject(s): Defense Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, Herbology
Electives s/he would have taken: Ancient runes, Arithmancy, Charms, Transfiguration
Best Mates: Pansy and Tracey. She got along rather well with her housemates in her year.
Romantic interests: She and Theo had sex once (while at Hogwarts at least), and she did share a dorm with two bisexual girls. Nothing serious, however.
Level of education reached: Daphne managed OWLs and NEWTs in Charms, Transfigurations, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Potions (though the latter just barely).
Other: Daphne didn’t bother with Care of Magical Creatures because she is not fond of animals, and she dumped Herbology as soon as she could because it is dirty.

Financial

Current Occupation: Unemployed, although she helps Miles out at the Three Broomsticks on occassion.
Other Occupations: Being Mistress of Bletchley Manor is a job all on it's own, it seems...
Monetary Situation: Daphne received a rather nice inheritance after the 'untimely' demise of her ex-husband, Hengist Woodcraft. She's been rather good about her spending since, and has been able to care for herself and her son rather nicely. Now that she's married to Miles Bletchley, she doesn't have to worry about spending as much anymore as well. If she ever got desperate, she could ask her father for money, since they're on speaking terms again. Also, she's now the only heir to the Greengrass Estate, and will inherit it after her parents' deaths.

Current situation

Affiliations & Organisations: None
Faction this character supports: Publicly, she supports the seperatists. She does live in Hogsmeade, after all. Privately, she's actually been sucked into working with the Death Eaters. She's not exactly happy about it, but being married to one is causing her problems, and she knows better than to tell Bellatrix Lestrange "no."
Role in the ongoing war: She’s just doing what she has to do to get by, and trying to keep her family as safe as possible.

Finally

What is your character's deepest, darkest secret (one that other game characters probably wouldn't know and that he/she would prefer they didn't find out about) Also list the names of anyone who might know, or might be suspicious of this knowledge:

Oh, Daphne has quite a few secrets, and will probably acquire quite a few more.

-Her sexuality is not general knowledge, nor does she wish it to be. Her past lovers would know this, and possibly her close friends.

-She would like to keep her child’s father a secret. Not because she is ashamed of the father, but because he did not want to have children with his mistress. She tried to pawn off her pregnancy on Woodcraft, but she doubts that most people believe it. Regardless, she does not make the illegitimacy of her son public knowledge, even if she knows that anyone who can do math knows otherwise.

-Her biggest secret, and the one she would be most devastated for others to learn, is the fact that she is not pureblood. The rest of her family is, but Daphne is the product of an affair.

If her mother had gone to school at Hogwarts she would have been a Slytherin too. After giving her husband two boys, very ugly ones, in her opinion, Daphne’s mother decided she wanted a daughter. Not willing to have another ugly child, and wishing to increase her odds of having a girl, she seduced a Muggle man from the nearby village who was rather well known for having female children with several different women, and happened to be rather nice to look at. The man, in turn, hoped to blackmail the eccentric and wealthy woman who lived on the hill to help support his various bastards.

This worked out splendidly for Daphne’s mother, who found herself with child, and later gave birth to Daphne. Not so well for the Muggle, who was obliviated immediately after the encounter.

Daphne’s mother kept her secret, and Daphne never found out about it until after she ran away from home. Her mother went to Rome with the hopes of dragging her daughter back, and during a row ended up spilling the beans about Daphne’s real father. Daphne was devastated, and has refused to speak with either of her parents since. She and her mother are the only people who know about this, and if Daphne has her way this secret will go to their graves. Yes, she does indeed she the irony in her own son's birth.

-She poisoned her first husband after he got wise to her sneaking out to attend parties and such without him (after she gave him potions to make him sleep, or make him ill), and felt it would be best to lock her in the house until she could act like the proper wife and mother he wanted. She also killed his house elf (who was ratting on her), and burned his mother's portrait (because she was a mad old bitch, and a witness). Theo is the only person who knows she did this, as he got the poison for her. Well, that is until she confessed to Miles Bletchley in the middle of a fever-induced hallucination. She's sure everyone and their house elf suspects it, however. As long as she doesn't end up in prison, she doesn't care who thinks she did it.
